» Materia Combinations!

» Intro

Throughout the game you will collect a lot of what is called 'Materia'. Materia is a huge and essential part of Final Fantasy VII, (although it isn't 100% needed for completion, it'll make your life ten times easier!) it enables you to heal wounds, bring back fallen comrades and destroying those opponents! But here's the 'magical' side of Materia. It can be combined! Now due to huge amount of Materia in Final Fantasy there are, literally, 100's of combinations, but there are some that stick out amongst the crowd! The following list will start of with these simple, but effective and then finish off with the deadly, ridiculous combinations that will help you slaughter thousands of helpless creatures!

<> Stands for a space Note 2: Some of the advanced combinations will require multiple/duplicate rare Materias, basically for the Final Fantasy VII Addict!

† Simple Combinations

Cover Slash: This combination allows you to take a hit in the place of an ally and then counter the enemy!
Set-Up: (Cover)=(Counter Attack)

Magical Return: A combination allowing you to counter the opponent who attacked you with any Magic or Summon Materia you choose! (Doesn't Include Master Magic and Master Summon Materias!)
Set-Up: (Magic Counter)=(Any Magic/Summon Materia)

Eternal Life: Enables you to come back to life after death!
Set-Up: (Final Attack)=(Phoenix) (Note: If combined with the Master Summon Materia you can use Phoenix as many time as you want, otherwise you can only use this a maximum of five times!)

Undead Wrath: This is for those who like revenge! When you die, you hit HARD!
Set-Up: (Final Attack)=(Any Summon/Magic Materia)

The Mime: Did you just use a powerful attack last turn? Did you just get hit by the enemy? Do you want revenge? Of course you do!
Set-Up: (Command Counter)=(Mime)

Parasite: Damn! Your either low on health or mana, but the thing is you need to attack as well! Well this ones for you! Attacking just got even more rewarding!
Set-Up: (2xCut/Slash All/Master Command)=(HP/MP Absorb)

Prototype Tetra Elemental: *sigh*, how come there isn't ever an easy way to protect against all those damned elements?! Huh? There is?!
Set-Up: ON ARMOUR (elemental)=(Kjata)

Elemental Master: Ah, ol' faithful! know any opponents sevearly weak too multiple elemental attacks? Then set this baby up and burn, freeze, electrocute...
Set-Up: ON WEAPON (elemental)=(Kjata)

Prototype Ribbon: Want that accessory spot for something other than that Ribbon?
Set-Up: ON ARMOUR (add status)=(Hades)

Status Cannon: Your opponent just wont thank you for this! You meany!
Set-Up: ON WEAPON (add status)=(Hades)

Power Mage: Allows you to increase your Magic and Summoning potential, but, this power comes at the cost of extra mana points!
Set-Up: (Any Magic/Summon/Master Magic/Master Summon)=(MP Turbo)

Master Summoner: Never has your summoning power been so great!
Set-Up:
ON WEAPON (Knights of the Round)=(MP Turbo)<>(Final Attack)=(Phoenix)<>(Master Summon)=(MP Absorb)<>(Elemental/Added Effect)=(Any Magic/Summon Materia)
ON ARMOUR (Quad Magic)=(Hades/Bahamut ZERO/Master Summon)<>(Sneak Attack)=(Choco/Mog)<>(W-Summon)

PsychoManiac: Designed to hurt your opponent a lot, even when its not your turn!
Set-Up: (Master Summon)=(MP Turbo)<>(Magic Counter)=(Knighhts of the Round)<>(HP Plus)
Make the rest Counter Attacks, use Mastered for best effects!

Slash, the Might Guard: Guard you friends and the retaliate with immense power!
Set-Up:(HP Plus)=(Cover)
Make the rest Counter Attacks, Mastered ones work better ;)

Commando Style: Become the 'Master of Master Command'
